Biaxial EBX 220 gr/m (7.76oz) - 127 cm width (price per meter).

This is not an alternative fabric, but rather a NEW production standard for surfboards! The BIAXIAL EBX fiberglass has all the fibers crossing the board at a 45° angle: a more durable production standard, developed over time for snowboards, skis, racing boats, and windsurfing sails.

Our non-crimp fabric offers the best in dynamic flexibility and rebound: load your board in a turn and recover 100% of its energy.

All fibers cross the board in an X-shape, from rail to rail, rather than top to bottom. The rails are 100% connected, transforming your board into an integrated system that provides rail-to-rail performance and advantages.

PU and EPS boards will never be the same again... this is a NEW standard!

Give your surfboard more control, flexibility, and strength!

MORE CONTROL: All fibers cross the board in a crisscross pattern, both front and back. More fibers are designed to run from foot to rail, covering a larger area for better torsional control. This maximizes rail-to-rail control.

BETTER FLEXIBILITY RESPONSE: With BIAXIAL EBX, no fibers run from tip to tail, allowing the board to have greater flexibility and better response along its length.

GREATER STRENGTH: Non-crimp fibers offer a higher strength-to-weight ratio, as each individual fiber stays straight. BIAXIAL EBX starts flat and stays flat. Unlike traditional fiberglass, BIAXIAL EBX has no interlacing, meaning the fibers are not forced to compress or flatten.

Usage Recommendations:

  • Shortboard boards made of polyurethane foam with stringer: 1 layer of BIAXIAL EBX (220 gr) on the deck and 1 layer of BIAXIAL EBX (220 gr) on the bottom.
  • EPS boards without stringer: 2 layers of BIAXIAL EBX (220 gr) on the deck and 2 layers of BIAXIAL EBX (220 gr) on the bottom.
  • Larger or more durable boards made of polyurethane foam with stringer: 1 layer of BIAXIAL EBX (220 gr) + 1 layer of Hexcel 471 (206 gr) on the deck, and 1 layer of BIAXIAL EBX (220 gr) on the bottom.

Regardless of your choice, the BIAXIAL EBX fiberglass should always be laminated as the first layer, directly in contact with the foam.
