The new Manō model from Local Motion is finally here. The "Manō", which means shark in Hawaiian, has been fine-tuned to become one of the most versatile shortboards on the market. With a performance as sharp as that of a predator, it works in both knee-deep and head-high waves, without ever compromising on performance.
FEATURES
Fin Setup
The Manō is built with a basic thruster, but with an upgrade to the "Five Fin Setup" it also works very well on a quad, depending on the conditions.
Lamination
Boards 5'5 to 6'4 - standard lamination with 2x 4oz. deck and 4oz. bottom. Boards 6'6 and up - standard lamination with 6oz. + 4oz. deck and 4 oz. bottom.
Rail
Manō has a mid-to-low rail, thus increasing speed in and out of the rougher, softer sections.
Tail
Manō Squash is the version designed for more progressive and bold surfing, working very well in more aggressive maneuvers.
Concave
Manō has a single to double concave, which allows for simpler wave entries and faster wave entry.
Rocker
A medium and continuous rocker that allows easy turning without losing speed, as well as quick exits from maneuvers.
